PCCI is the voice of Philippine business recognized by government and international institutions. As a proactive catalyst of development, PCCI promotes and supports the drive for globally competitive Philippine enterprises in partnership with government, local chambers, and other business organizations.
Mission
The main responsibility of PCCI is to provide focused advocacy for business growth and sustainable development by providing business services for the advancement of grassroots entrepreneurship, chamber development, international trade relations, business innovation and excellence, and operating efficiency. These will be achieved through a professional organization working in close cooperation with various stakeholders in public and private sectors.
PCCI celebrates 16th year of recognizing youth entrepreneurship

The PCCI successfully hosted the 16th Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) with the theme "Innovative Business Solutions for the New Business Environment” that recognized eight (8) groups of innovative students from various colleges and universities across the country during the recently concluded 48th Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBC&E).
Presenting the awards were PCCI President George T. Barcelon, PCCI chairman, William Co, 48th PBC&E chairman, Ferdinand A. Perrer, Philippine Exporters Confederation (PHILEXPORT) PresidentSergio R. Ortiz Luis Jr.. PCCI Education Chair Eduardo G. Ong and 16th BIDA Chair Victoria N. Nanangas.
This year’s grand winners are the Malayan Colleges Laguna with their entry, FourtiPuff (Food Category); the College of St. John - Roxas with their entry, Seafoodeli (Service Category); the National University with their entry, E Go-Travel Kit (Non-food Category); and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines with their entry, Spare Square (Technology Category).
The University of Mindanao bagged second place with their entries: Cutleble (Food Category), Omnia (Non-food Category), and Bin+ (Technology Category). The Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City also won second place with their entry, Vendicare (Service Category).
Since 2007, PCCI has been recognizing creativity and innovation in products, technology, and services through the BIDA which seeks to foster entrepreneurial culture as well as a sense of nationalism among Filipino youth. BIDA also intends to promote entrepreneurship as a critical component of the country's economic sustainability, growth, and development.
The award winners will be endorsed to the PCCI Education Committee's Subcommittee on Commercialization and Enterprise Development to further evaluate and look for prospects for their business ideas to materialize.
BIDA is a project of the PCCI Education Committee headed by Dr. Eduardo Gutierrez-Ong, Chairman for Education, chaired by Prof. Victoria N. Nañagas of the National University and supported by PHILEXPORT and ICCT Colleges.
