Mission
The main responsibility of PCCI is to provide focused advocacy for business growth and sustainable development by providing business services for the advancement of grassroots entrepreneurship, chamber development, international trade relations, business innovation and excellence, and operating efficiency. These will be achieved through a professional organization working in close cooperation with various stakeholders in public and private sectors.
PCCI, JCCI to organize joint events, formalizes business and economic cooperation

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) hosted representatives from the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) on 8 May 2023 at the PCCI Office in Taguig City to discuss upcoming joint events and formalizing business and economic cooperation between the two (2) chambers.
Jude Aguilar, International Affairs Committee Chairman and 49th Philippine Business Conference and Expo Co-chair alongside PCCI key officers: Ferdinand A. Ferrer, Vice President for Industrial Affairs and Director for Digital, Science, and Technology; and Engr. Enunina V. Mangio, Vice President for Regional Affairs and Director of Chamber Management welcomed representatives from the JCCI secretariat, including Kazuo Nishitan, Executive Director and General Manager of the International Division; Kazuto Sasaki, Project General Manager of International Division/ Secretary; Masahiko Oshima, Manager of International Division; Tomohiro Koseki, Secretary General of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines, Inc.; and Katsumi Otsuka, Manager of JTB Corp.
Kazuo Nishitani informed the PCCI that a Japanese business delegation headed by JCCI Chairman Ken Kobayashi will be arriving in the Philippines as part of their initiative to strengthen business collaboration with Southeast Asian countries. In line with this, the JCCI aims to organize a business forum with the PCCI which will highlight business and investment opportunities in both countries.
The JCCI intends to invite forty (40) to fifty (50) Filipino business delegates to participate in the said business forum. Nishitani requested the assistance of the PCCI to invite Philippine companies to participate in the said event. Aguilar also proposed to have a signing ceremony between PCCI and JCCI during the business forum to formalize cooperation between the two (2) chambers.
To further discuss the details and preliminary preparation, Aguilar requested to hold a virtual follow-up meeting with JCCI and its key officers.
