Finland Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Juha Pyykkö, hosted a luncheon meeting with Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) officers to discuss opportunities for collaboration and improving trade relations between the two nations.

H.E. Pyykkö suggested that the PCCI and the Finland Chamber of Commerce (FCC) establish an official partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost two-way linkages.

PCCI President, Mr. George T. Barcelon, expressed his optimism towards the collaboration, stating that this initial meeting serves as an important step towards strengthening relations between the Philippines and Finland.

PCCI Chairman for International Affairs Committee, Mr. Jude Aguilar, assured the Ambassador Pyyko of the PCCI’s willingness to work closely with their Finnish counterparts to explore new opportunities and build stronger relationships between the Philippines and Finland on multiple levels.

The meeting was held last April 13, 2023, at the Ambassador’s Residence and was also attended by Honorary Chairman and Treasurer Mr. Sergio Ortiz Luis Jr., Director and Vice President for Trade Affairs and 49th PBC Chairman Arch. Felino Palafox, International Affairs Committee Chairman and 49th PBC Co-Chair Mr. Jude Aguilar, and Vice President for Industrial Affairs Mr. Perry Ferrer. --- Miguel Santos
