PCCI South Luzon led by Area Vice President Sallie C. Lacson with Regional Governors Romeo B. Race of PCCI Region IV-A,  Jeffrey A. Armedilla of PCCI Region IV-B, and Ferdinand D. Sia of PCCI Region V, held its Team Building and Strategic Planning at Vivere Hotel, Alabang.

The planning workshop was facilitated by Ms. Maria Lourdes F. Japson, with thirty-three (33) participants from the Local Chambers.

With the theme “The Power of Leaders and Leading Processes Towards a Strategic Planning,” the workshop provided the participants with new perspectives on how to build camaraderie and strengthen their leadership capacity to improve the execution of plans and programs in addressing key issues within the region.  The workshop was facilitated by Maria Lourdes F. Japson.

In her opening remarks, Lacson emphasized the importance of strengthening strategy in creating a harmonious synergy between LCCIs and members, and in becoming more active in championing advocacies.

“This workshop aims to capacitate PCCI South Luzon leaders and officers to promote teamwork and to carry out duties and responsibilities according to our Mission and Vision” she added.

During the workshop proper, the Regional Governors provided participants with a brief summary of the status of membership development in each chamber, as well as their operational processes to give the participants a better understanding of how LCCIs function and implement plans and programs. Furthermore, each region also engaged in a meaningful dialogue where LCCIs discussed prevalent issues in their respective regions, and how they can help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) resolve certain issues. Proposed recommendations for the development of business enterprises were also presented.

Through the discussion, LCCI Officers were able to determine which area of interest should be prioritized. They also d created a roadmap, which contains the plans and programs of PCCI South Luzon for this year with focus on Membership Recruitment and Development, MSME Development particularly on Start-Up companies and young entrepreneurs, and Educational Development aligned to these key performance pillars:

The Team Building and Strategic Planning Workshop showed the consistent perseverance of PCCI South Luzon Officers in advocating for the needs of the industry and communities, given that LCCIs have a compelling position in bridging the gap between the private and public sectors. The plans and programs of PCCI South Luzon indicated in its Area Roadmap 2023 will be implemented by the officers and are still subject for refinements. Kharylle Carneje
