Mission
The main responsibility of PCCI is to provide focused advocacy for business growth and sustainable development by providing business services for the advancement of grassroots entrepreneurship, chamber development, international trade relations, business innovation and excellence, and operating efficiency. These will be achieved through a professional organization working in close cooperation with various stakeholders in public and private sectors.
PCCI, TECO discusses 2022 Taiwan-PH Industrial Collaboration Summit

PCCI President Mr. George T. Barcelon met with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECO) Representative, Mr. Peiyung Hsu, last June 7, 2022 at the PCCI Office to discuss the “2022 Taiwan-Philippines Industrial Collaboration Summit” which is scheduled to be held on October 26, 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan.
The objective of the Summit is to strengthen the collaboration of various industries from both the Philippines and Taiwan specifically in the field of ICT, electronics, machinery, and industrial zone development.
Mr. Barcelon thanked TECO for inviting the PCCI to collaborate on the Summit. He told Mr. Hsu that PCCI shall circulate the event to its members, and expressed his interest in leading a business delegation to participate in the Summit. Mr. Hsu requested Mr. Barcelon to highlight in his welcome remarks the new economic policy of the Marcos administration to attract Taiwanese investors.
On the request of TECO to identify Phi\lippine speakers for the sub-forums, Vice President and Director for Innovation Mr. Ferdinand A. Ferrer requested TECO to provide PCCI with the list of Taiwanese counterparts. He noted that PCCI members will be keen on the ICT and industrial zone sessions. He also emphasized the Philippines’ need for high-precision tools, which according to Mr. Hsu, Taiwan has as they export machine tools.
Dra. Luzviminda S. Jose, Chairperson of Philippine-Chinese Business Council, stressed that there is a need to ensure follow-throughs after every successful conference and business matching session. She added that it is important to streamline the processing of permits and other regulatory requirements to help encourage investors to do business in the Philippines.
PCCI and TECO/CNFI shall do active follow-ups on the business matching sessions.
