Vision
PCCI is the voice of Philippine business recognized by government and international institutions. As a proactive catalyst of development, PCCI promotes and supports the drive for globally competitive Philippine enterprises in partnership with government, local chambers, and other business organizations.
Mission
The main responsibility of PCCI is to provide focused advocacy for business growth and sustainable development by providing business services for the advancement of grassroots entrepreneurship, chamber development, international trade relations, business innovation and excellence, and operating efficiency. These will be achieved through a professional organization working in close cooperation with various stakeholders in public and private sectors.
PCCI turns digital

Since the pandemic, people have changed their perception of technology as it progressed from a source of entertainment to a source of livelihood. As markets open up and expand, both producers and consumers have learned to use technology to its advantage.
The Philippines is no stranger to technology. Studies such as the Statista Research Department show that Filipinos have an extraordinarily high usage time of about four hours per day. The country’s high population also contribute to the title “the social media capital of the world”. In fact, the current infrastructure cannot keep up with the growing demand of the population’s needs. Recognizing that internet access and digital literacy have an impact on economic growth, institutions are now focusing on expanding the digital network.
Through a prospering partnership with USAID-SPEED (Strengthening Private Enterprise for the Digital Economy), PCCI is supporting its members transition to the digital space. SPEED aims to create a more inclusive ecommerce environment that caters to MSMEs through its four components: SME capacity building and upskilling, integration of e-payment systems to the whole SME value chain, integrating logistics in the ecommerce value chain, and consumer protection and awareness.
PCCI aims to provide assistance to MSMEs in adapting digitalization into their various sectors. Headed by Director for Innovation, Digital Economy and Science & Technology Mr. Ferdinand “Perry” Ferrer, the Committee continues to conduct brainstorming sessions with SPEED. This transition is a movement that requires full coordination of multiple sectors and the entire chamber. Therefore, the Agriculture Committee, the SME Committee, and the Area Vice Presidents of the chamber are also involved in planning, building, and decision-making of projects to conduct to drive technological advancement.
In line with PCCI’s advocacy and the acknowledged importance of innovation for a better Philippines, future programs may include capacity building programs to improve digital literacy and awareness for members. PCCI is also participating in SPEED’s inception workshop to formulate concrete strategies in achieving the shared goal. --- Athena Danielle Quizon
